The Garces Foundation is committed to ensuring that Philadelphia’s underserved immigrant community has access to medical, educational, and nutritional services. Our goal is to see that Philadelphia’s vibrant and growing immigrant community has access to the care and education they need so that they may actively contribute their talents to making this city truly world-class.

Stroehmann Walk + Run Against Hunger (April 11, 2015 from 8:00 a.m.–12:00p.m. at Philadelphia Museum of Art)
Ending hunger is as easy as putting on your sneakers at the annual Stroehmann Walk+Run Against Hunger! This fun-filled 5K event that raises much-needed funds for more than 100 food pantries, soup kitchens and hunger-relief agencies in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Together, these programs help hundreds of thousands of local families put food on their tables every day.

BLINGO To Cure Duchenne (April 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at The Rittenhouse Hotel)
BLINGO is a night of celebrity bingo, bling and celebration where Philadelphians come together to make a huge difference for hundreds of thousands of boys suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Join emcee Jenn Frederick, and celebrity bingo callers Meteorologist John Bolaris and broadcast sensation and Marisa Magnatta of the Preston and Steve show for fabulous food, drinks, games and the chance to win great prizes.

Canine Partners for Life’s 25th Anniversary Gala (April 11, 2015 from 7:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. at Wintherthur Museum and Country Estate)
Get your bark on! Cocktails, a gourmet meal, live music and dancing come together to celebrate man’s best friend and their faithful service to those facing a variety of disabilities. For 25 years, Canine Partners for Life (CPL) has been dedicated to training service dogs and companion dogs to assist individuals who have a wide range of physical, neurological and cognitive disabilities.

Delaware Valley Legacy Fund Heroes Awards (April 12, 2015 from 12:30 p.m.–3:00 p.m. at Hotel Monaco)
The Delaware Valley Legacy Fund (DVLF) held the first HEROES event nine years ago to honor those people in our community whose work and leadership advances the rights of the LGBTQ community. DVLF honors these Heroes annually in celebration of their character and in encouragement of others to follow in their example.
